Micah planted these flowers in a little pot for me at the end of last year for Mother's Day. He said he picked these out because he knew I would like two different kinds of flowers. :) They have grown so well and are so pretty...I had to get a picture of him with them! So sweet!

We got to go see Great Grandpa this weekend and he got to meet his newest great grandson, Jude. He enjoyed holding him, and Jude gave him lots of smiles!
Micah and Dad went camping at Potato Creek State Park this last weekend. They had to sleep in the back of the van due to the thunderstorms, but they had great weather right up until bed time. There was alot of food that was eaten, (they wouldn't even tell Mom what they had, but I know that Micah ate peanut m&m's for breakfast!) and alot of shooting aerosoft guns....lots of fun!
Ailie's big present was a play kitchen and all the things a girl needs to cook with...pots and pans, hot pads, an apron and pretend food. She's been cooking up a storm! I think Laci likes it as much as she does. :)
Ailie got all the jelly beans except one off one whole side of the cake in one swipe while we sang "Happy Birthday" to her. She didn't eat one bite of the cake, just the candy :)
Here's Ailie's birthday cake that Mommy made for her 2nd birthday. There wasn't really a cartoon character that Ailie's really into, and the only thing we could think that she really loves is candy; specifically, "bean beans" (jelly beans), so.....we went with a Candy Land themed cake.
It seems like it was just yesterday that we were celebrating his first birthday and now he's 10 already....it's going by too fast! We wouldn't trade one minute of the time we've had with Micah. He is our adorable big boy!
Micah got Mario Kart which he has been wanting for a while. His other big present from Mom and Dad was that he got to go camping with Dad!
Micah had his big 10 yr birthday party this year. He wanted an army theme with the main event being a Dads vs sons capture the flag game. We started out with a football game, a cookout of brats and hotdogs and then had the capture the flag game and a quick game of kickball before we opened presents and had cake. It was such a fun day and even though it was supposed to thunderstorm, the weather turned out perfect!
Micah got lots of fun presents at his party. The big theme was nerf guns this year which was a big hit!
September is our big birthday month! Daddy's birthday is the 17th, Micah's is the 27th and Ailie's is the 28th. Needless to say we have lots of birthday cake around the house this month. All the kids love to help decorate Daddy's birthday cake which is always a version of chocolate. :)
Here's Micah ready to go on the first day of school! He's done a great job this first week with all his homework and quizzes. His teacher says she really enjoys having him in class and that he is very good.

We had quite the fun Labor Day weekend. We actually had plans every day from Fri - Mon but those all went by the wayside when Ailie got sick in the back of the van on Fri. afternoon. She spent the rest of Fri night sick, and then sure enough Micah and Laci got it within an hour of each other on Sat night. Jude has been oblivious to it all and has avoided it so far! So thankful we got it out of the way before school starts on Tuesday, and definitely thankful for otherwise healthy kids!
Here's our little Laci recovering from her weekend with the flu. She told me in the middle of the night after several times of throwing up that she hates the bathroom. :)
They post lists with all the students names and who their teacher is, and the kids get to find out who it is on open house day. Here's Micah and Laci looking for their names.
