First day of 5th grade!

Here's Micah ready to go on the first day of school! He's done a great job this first week with all his homework and quizzes. His teacher says she really enjoys having him in class and that he is very good.

Sicky #1

We had quite the fun Labor Day weekend. We actually had plans every day from Fri - Mon but those all went by the wayside when Ailie got sick in the back of the van on Fri. afternoon. She spent the rest of Fri night sick, and then sure enough Micah and Laci got it within an hour of each other on Sat night. Jude has been oblivious to it all and has avoided it so far! So thankful we got it out of the way before school starts on Tuesday, and definitely thankful for otherwise healthy kids!

Sicky #2

Here's our little Laci recovering from her weekend with the flu. She told me in the middle of the night after several times of throwing up that she hates the bathroom. :)

Finding out who their teachers are

They post lists with all the students names and who their teacher is, and the kids get to find out who it is on open house day. Here's Micah and Laci looking for their names.

Our Sweetie Pie

Here's Laci in front of her classroom. She's not in the preschool building any more...she is in the main building, and she is right down the hall from Daddy's office this year. Laci is always excited about school starting again, and she has a few of her friends from last year in her class again.

Laci with her teacher

Laci has Miss Jenni DeYoung for her teacher this year. This is who she was hoping to get, because "Miss DeYoung always makes a snowman with her class every year!" :) She has had Laci in Sunday School and has babysat for us a few times. She is so sweet, and Laci is so excited about school!

Cute boy!

Here's Micah in front of his classroom door. He's upstairs in the school this year. I wonder how much longer he's going to let Mom take pictures of him at the beginning of school. :)

Micah meets his teacher

Micah has Miss Brenna Williams for his teacher this year. She is a first year teacher and very sweet. When we left Micah said he thinks this year is going to be good, and he's excited about school now. :)

Twins Game

The two cutest Twins fans in the world! The high school always goes to a Cubs or White Sox game during their week of school camp and Dave usually is able to get tickets for Micah and him to go. Last year they saw the Cubs and this year the White Sox happened to be playing their favorite team...the Twins! Twins won 7-6. Yea!

Jude is 2 months!

He actually was 2 months on 8/21. We took him to the doctor for his 2 month check-up on 8/23 and he weighed 13 lbs. 15 oz. and was 24 in. long! He is over the 90th percentile in height and weight....definitely going to be a big boy!!

Saved the best for last!

Before we left for home, we ate supper at a pizza restaraunt that was always a Sunday night tradition for Daddy and his family. Great pizza!!! Micah now wants to move to Oregon, Il. :)

Blackhawk

Here's Daddy and the kids in front of the largest inland statue in the U.S. in Oregon. We cut off his head in the picture, but it was him or Dad and the kids. :)

Patient Boy

Jude spent most of his day riding around in the stroller. Such a sweet boy!

Chip fan!

Can't keep Ailie away from the chips! As usual she doesn't like to eat much healthy but at least they're baked. :)

Picnic lunch

We couldn't keep Ailie out of her sandwich long enough to take a picture. Jude looks like he would like a bite of it too!

Football game

We stopped at one of the state parks to have a picnic lunch and play some football. It was the perfect day!

Memory Lane

We spent the day Saturday in Oregon, Il showing the kids where Daddy grew up. We had such a fun day visiting all his old stomping grounds. This is where he graduated from high school: Memorial Baptist in Rockford, Il.
